Dave Maestrejuan is our Artist-in-Residence. His paintings are in many books and magazines and hang in three museums. He has attended many schools including the Los Angeles Art Center College of Design (on their dime) and continues to study with some fabulous artists.
Primarily a portrait artist, his clients include captains of industry and high profile celebrities from both automotive and music worlds.
In the mid-sixties he became fascinated by the Ford v. Ferrari battle for supremacy at Le Mans and has been drawing and painting Ferrari ever since.
Dave was heavily involved with the Ferrari at 50 exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum and was their Artist-in-Residence in 1997.
He has owned both new and vintage Ferraris, worked in restoration for many years and assembled the 2007 Pebble Beach class winning Duesenberg. This hands-on experience with classic and vintage cars gives his paintings an authenticity not typically found in automotive art.
He is currently working on a portrait series of auto restoration experts and accepts commissions.
Stop in and check out his studio at the clubhouse. Commission work invited.
